Jon Gregory
Jon Gregory co-founded the Golden Capital Network in September 1999 and has served as President and CEO since its inception. Companies featured through Golden Capital Network have gone on to raise over $1 billion in angel or venture capital investments. Jon is co-fonder of Wildcat Angel Fund, a $1.6 million angel fund. He is a member of Angel Capital Association and is a referral source for growth companies to various angel groups and venture capital firms throughout the western U.S. Jon is a co-founder of the Sacramento Regional Technology Alliance. Jon currently serves on the Board of Directors of several entrepreneur, technology or economic development-focused organizations, including the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED), the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy, and the Sacramento Regional Technology Alliance, and Venture Capitalist Advisory Council member of the Entrepreneurs’ Foundation of the Capital Region. Jon started his career within the Inspector General’s Office of the 32nd Army Air Defense Command in Germany. Jon graduated from California State University, Chico.
Chris Soderquist
Over the past 16 years Chris Soderquist has founded, capitalized, and managed numerous companies. Most recently he helped start and directed Crescendo, a luxury real estate investment firm that raised more than $15 million in equity capital and was acquired in 2008. Chris also created and sold a marketing strategy firm that he grew to 130 clients and two software companies he founded in the late ’90s. He formerly helped manage two business incubators, Technology Development Center and Venture Lab, and served on the board of the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy (of which he was president for three years), the Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance, UC Davis Connect, and Comstock's Magazine's editorial board. He earned a BS from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and an MBA from the University of California, Davis, where he guest lectures in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Dan Nguyen-Tan
Dan Nguyen-Tan is co-founder of Golden Capital Network. At Golden Capital Network, he was responsible for developing its extensive network of over 350 angel investor and venture capitalists. Dan has been active in deal sourcing, deal evaluation, and preparing over 1,000+ entrepreneurs for investor presentations. He has advised several private companies in business, financial, and capital raising strategies. Dan is a former Loan Administration Board Director for Tri-County Economic Development Corporation, co-founder of North State Renewable Energy, and formerly acting VP of Finance for Teach For America. He received his BA from Whitman College and master’s degree from Harvard Kennedy School.
